  윤무 는 여럿이 동그랗게 둘러서서 추거나 돌면서 추는 춤이라고 합니다. 윤무곡 의 사전정의를 보면 3박자의 경쾌한 춤곡 또는 그에 맞추어 남녀가 한 쌍이 되어 원을 그리며 추는 춤이라고 나와 있는데, 이것은 즉 왈츠를 뜻하는 말이겠구나 하는 생각에서 출발하여 작업하게 된 곡입니다. 계절에 맞게 차분하고 서정적인 분위기를 내려고 노력하였습니다. 저의 여느 곡들과 비슷하게 다시 볼 수 없는 상대를 그리워하는 감정 이 전반에 깔려있으나, 윤무의 화자는 슬픔 안에서도 미소를 짓는 것을 차이점으로 가지고 있습니다. 가끔은 그리워하고, 가끔은 잊기도 하다가, 다시 불현듯 생각이 나면서.
