  묵묵히 자기 자리에서 노래를 만들었다. 꼬박 2년이 걸려 만든 곡도 있다. 가사를 쓰면서 생각했다. ‘내가 이 노래에선 이 단어를 쓰고 이런 표현을 하고자 한다는 것을 사람들이 알아챌 수 있을까?’ 몰라도 어쩔 수 없지만 그래도 알아주었으면 좋겠다 라고도 생각했다. 자신의 집을 처음 자신의 손으로 꾸미는 사람의 그 설레는 마음처럼 그렇게 여러 번 비슷한 의미의 단어를 대어보고 멜로디를 바꿔보고 편곡을 몇 번씩 하며 분위기를 바꿔보고 이번 손동운의 미니 앨범 [Act 1 : The Orchestra]는 그렇게 수많은 밤과 생각과 시간과 마음속에서 만들어졌다.
